This year (2014) marks the 160th Anniversary of our foundation in Port Melbourne. The records show that the first Anglican Service was held on this site in Bay Street in January or February, 1854.

Holy Trinity is hosting the annual World Day of Prayer this year. Afternoon tea to follow.

April 2014

1854 Tent Service: Sunday 6/4/14 10am
Exciting commemoration of the First Service.

10am Good Friday Liturgy
12noon Combined Walk of Witness
3pm Stations of the Cross

Sunday 20/4/14 Easter Day 10am
Procession & Sung Eucharist
followed by a Reception.

May 2014

  Community Open Day: Sat 10/5/14 11am-2pm
A feast of activities for the community including the "Forget-me-not" pew seat, "Time Capsule", Face Painting for Children, "Sausage Sizzle" and "Pop-up Shop".
12noon - "Joy of Song": A Capella performance by cadence Choir, followed by "Gentle Hearts" piano recital by Judith Moore.
1.30-2.00pm - Father Noel's "Walk & Talk" discovery tour of Holy Trinity.

June 2014

Holy Trinity's 160th Historical Exhibition:
12th-30th/6/14 in the Port Melbourne Town Hall, Bay Street. Exhibition opens at 5.30pm on June 12, by the Rev'd Noel Whale.

Trinity Sunday Patronal Festival Service:

We are using this month to prepare for the next series of special events.

Please continue to join us at our Sunday 10am service.

Our fortnightly Sausage Sizzle and Op Shop are happening throughout winter in our Courtyard.

August 2014

Sunday 3rd at 10-10.30am
"Talking History": Five monologues on historical Port Melbourne. Produced and Directed by our in-house creative performance guru, Betty Walton.

Tue 5-Sat 9 August: "Artists Group Exhibition" - 9am-5pm. Paintings on exhibitavailable for sale, with a commission on each sale donated to the church.
The event is being organized by our talented local artist, Anne Esposito.

Fri 22/8/14: 7pm
Themed Dinner -"Recipies from the Ladies Guild"
Featuring recipes from the 1908 Ladies Guild fundraiser Cookery Book. Download Menu Here.
$45 per head, all inclusive, payable at booking. Promises to be an enjoyable and entertaining evening.
All welcome. Open for reservations from June 1 to Aug 20 – email Father Noel on [email protected].

Saturday, 13th @ 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Back by popular demand after a successful program at May’s Open Day.

A 2-part program featuring:
A Cappella singing featuring music from many genres including traditional, world, popular and gospel.

A piano recital of beautiful& uplifting music by the divinely talented Judith Moore.

October 2014

Sunday 12th @ 10am: "Pop Up Museum":
An interactive exhibition featuring all things Holy Trinity Port Melbourne, past and present. A special event organised by Helen Barry (Holy Trinity Port Melbourne parish member).
All welcomed to participate but items featured must have a historical link with Holy Trinity Port Melbourne.

Annual Spring Fete: Sat 25/10/14, 10am-3pm
Our spectacular annual fund-raiser fete, with the usual goodies of plants, cakes, jams, clothes, bric-a-brac, books, sausage sizzle and more.

November 2014

Tuesday, 4th from 11am to 3pm
An awesome fun day for kids.
Free activities: farmyard nursery animals, planting project, carousel rides, face-painting.
Something for the adults, too: Father Noel’s “Walk & Talk” discovery tour of Holy Trinity.

Back to Holy Trinity Sunday: Sun 23/11/14 10am
"A Trip Down Memory Lane" followed by a BBQ lunch at 12noon.
