our leaders
heather
Heather is our Vicar. She joined Holy Trinity in December 2025 and brings 15+ years of experience as an Anglican priest. Heather has a heart for Church renewal and founded The Francis Seminary; a training program for Church leaders in declining ministries. She has personally led renewal in a range of parish, school and university settings, and teaches change leadership to executive leaders in the social sector and sustainability. She has a PhD from the University of Divinity after studying theology at St Francis’ College in Brisbane and Ridley Melbourne, and is a qualified teacher and lawyer. She loves fashion, Franciscan spirituality, writing in cafes and her family of three – Adam and their daughter Mary, who is in year 7.
abby
Abby is our Prayer House Director. Her weeks are filled with tenancy work in community housing and with part-time study at Ridley College. She is passionate about prayer, mission and justice and is excited to see these come together in the Prayer House. Her dream is to cultivate a space where Jesus is loved, and where Port Melbourne would notice if we were gone. Abby feels most alive when trying to squeeze too many people around her duct-taped dining table.
josiah
Josiah a GIS specialist, which means he creates digital maps to assist with decision making in areas like urban planning, environmental science, and in infrastructure projects. He is a passionate supporter of our music and young adult ministries and looks forward to seeing daily prayer bookings in our church, with a renovated Vicarage being used to serve the local community. Josiah loves surfing, hiking, playing music and travelling with friends and his wife, Kimba.
ella
Ella has worked in real estate for 4 years and has a flare for marketing. Ella has been attending Holy Trinity Port Melbourne since 2022 and enjoys her service as a Warden, Treasurer and assisting with HTPM’s social media. Outside of work and church, Ella loves walking her dog, cooking and baking.
jude
Jude grew up in Paris before completing high school in Port Melbourne. He currently works as a heat pump specialist, helping Melbournians to transfer to renewable energy. Jude serves as Warden and supports our young adult ministries. He enjoys going to the gym and boxing. His deepest prayer is to grow closer and closer to Jesus.
zoe
Zoe is currently a full-time theological student at Ridley College. She is doing a student placement at Holy Trinity Port Melbourne’s 10 am service. She is excited to see how the Spirit is working with the mix of traditional and new at Holy Trinity. She loves hearing people’s stories over morning tea, from those who have persevered in their faith through great trials, to those who have come to faith/back to faith recently. In her free time, she likes to go op-shopping and take sunny walks with her two dogs and her husband, Josh.
what are our services like?
when you walk in
you will find people chatting and grabbing cups of tea, or sitting quietly to reflect. We will smile and say hello to you at the door but you are welcome to spend time alone, or socialise – no one will force you to talk. The door is open to come and go, use the outdoors spaces, our couch area, or to grab a coffee on Bay Street.
Our services are designed so you can relax and have time to reflect, without being asked to work in small groups. Morning tea is always great but also optional.
We engage a range of traditional hymns and newly composed songs at every service.
are children welcome?
Yes! We have flexible play and learning spaces for young and young at heart. We use songs, craft and audiovisual presentations to engage all ages, styles and neurodiversities.
what about toilets and parking?
Yes, both, though we are sorry that we don’t currently have a wheelchair accessible toilet.
There is one at 333 Bay Street, the Port Melbourne library.
Our toilets are unisex.
We do have good heating and cooling.
are we progressive?
We are egalitarian, theologically orthodox and Spirit-led. We blend modern and traditional worship styles.
Holy Trinity is are a place where everyone is welcome to be who they are and engage in critical thought about faith and the scriptures. We support the agency of every individual to journey with authenticity, without coercion and the freedom to disagree with any teaching they hear. We honour you and the people you love.
Our teaching assumes that God is real, Jesus is God and we experience him today in both natural and miraculous ways. We seek to empower every follower of Jesus to hear God personally, by the power of the Holy Spirit. We prioritise Bible teaching that seeks to explain the scriptures faithfully and apply its meaning to modern life. We celebrate the Eucharist every week.
