ANGLICAN BOARD OF MISSION (ABM) PEW REFLECTIONS – Sunday 3 September 2022

Today the Psalmist tells us to ‘Give thanks to the Lord and call upon his name’. Perhaps most of us are good at asking God for things, especially when we undergo difficulties and stressful situations. But we’re not so good at gratitude. Some people like to focus on thankfulness by keeping a gratitude journal, in which they write down the things that they felt grateful for that day. It’s a good way of taking notice of the small blessings all around us because each entry doesn’t need to be for something extraordinary. Most of them are likely to be for the small but special thing in life – a beautiful sunset, a good catch-up with a friend, a hobby enjoyed.

  • Lord, help me to be thankful for all the blessings you extend to me.

FINANCIAL OFFERINGS TO HOLY TRINITY – QR Code

It is now possible to give financial offerings to HTPM via a QR code that is located on the top of the brown collection box at the entry table.  This will work with both Android and IOS, but requires card number input if not already saved on the phone.

** Please consider how best you can contribute.  The church needs to be financially independent and financial contributions from parishioners are vital.**

Donations to BASP (Brigidine Asylum Seekers Program)

Parish Council at its August meeting decided to concentrate on offering financial vouchers to BASP rather than food and grocery items.  Vouchers are most appreciated as the clients whom BASP works with can then choose the products that are most important and necessary to themselves.  Collections for supermarket vouchers will take place every 2 – 3 months.
