OPPORTUNITY SHOP
We plan to open the Op Shop in the Vicarage on Saturdays 11am to 2pm. Volunteer helpers please – there must be at least 2 people for each session. List on the entry able for names.
COMPLIANCE
All members of the parish who are in a leadership role are now required by law to comply with the Diocesan Volunteer Clearance for Service Police Check: ‘CrimCheck’ to retain their position. Some members in particular roles may also need a ‘Working with Children Check’ (WWC). Helen Barry is the parish Compliance Officer. Please contact Helen to make sure that your documentation is up to date.
BASP – Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project
***Many thanks to those people who have donated vouchers to BASP over the last few weeks.*** Vouchers are particularly appreciated (eg Coles, Woolworths, Kmart or similar stores) as this gives individuals and families the independence to buy something they really want or need. If you are happy to give a gift voucher, please hand directly to Lorraine rather than placing in the donation bin. Food and household items are of course always appreciated and can be placed in the donation bin at the entry table. Food items must be unopened and not past the use-by date (list of preferred items is at the entry table).
HOLY TRINITY FETE – Saturday November 24!
Save the date! The Holy Trinity Fete will be held on Saturday November 24 – the same day as the State Election! We will need all hands on deck to make our fete a great community day with a variety of stalls. This is only seven weeks away so please start thinking of how you can help!
CALLING ALL JAM, MARMALADE AND CHUTNEY MAKERS!
We are hoping to have a table of home-made jams, marmalade and chutneys for sale on the day of the fete, as these items have been VERY popular in the past. For anyone requiring jars, there are a number being stored in the vicarage.
THE MELBOURNE ANGLICAN
Copies of the October edition of the diocesan newspaper are now available from the front entry table.
