OP-SHOP – CAN YOU HELP?

Our wonderful Op-Shop is now up and running again!  It was necessary to close for a few months so that renovations could take place following the fire in the vicarage, but it re-opened for our recent Mini-Market.

*** New Op-Shop volunteers are always needed and welcome.  Speak to Jen if you would like to be involved. ***

WINDS OF HOPE – FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN FOR KYEBE MATERNITY CLINIC IN UGANDA

Many of you will be familiar with Matthew and Stella’s project ‘Winds of Hope’ – a charity that works towards improving healthcare services in Uganda and educational outcomes for young women in need.  ‘Winds of Hope’ has just launched a fundraising campaign for the Kyebe Maternity Clinic in Uganda, a clinic that serves both as a maternity clinic and general clinic to the local community, but which has deteriorated over the years so that it is no longer safe and clean.

More information is at  https://kyebeuganda.org.au/ where there is a full overview of the project and video.

“Recently Stella visited the facility whilst on a trip back to Uganda, met with the local host Rotary Club and members of the Kyebe facility and community. She was overwhelmed by the state of the facility, but also inspired by the passion of the local community to return the facility to its former state.”
