*** A MESSAGE FROM NOEL ***

“As the lockdown has now been extended, so we do not know when the church will reopen again for our 10am Sunday Service. We are all missing the opportunity to gather as a faith community at Holy Trinity, please pray that we shall soon be able to worship together in person.  I do hope that you are able to participate in worship on line. Many churches are providing this facility and you might like to visit Christ Church Brunswick, St John’s Camberwell or St George’s East Ivanhoe on YOUTUBE as well as those already listed .

** I will provide a Worship Paper for the coming weeks to help you with your devotions.  Please note other articles in the Parish News: Archbishop Philip recommending all Anglicans to be vaccinated;  St Luke’s South Melbourne – September month of fasting and prayer with requests for prayer petitions; Plans for a ZOOM parish gathering on Sunday September 12 @ 12 noon.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you so wish.”             Noel

ARCHBISHOP PHILIP RECOMMENDS ALL ANGLICANS TO BE VACCINATED

“We have no hesitation in urging everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated as soon as possible.  In the Archbishop’s videos, in TMA and in episcopate newsletters this has already been made plain. The evidence is mounting that vaccination is highly effective. Getting vaccinated is an act of love for your neighbour, and to provide safety in our community, churches and society. There is no credible argument against vaccination, and the risks of serious side effects from any of the vaccines available are extremely low.  The Archbishop and bishops have all had a second dose, or have the second dose booked within the next few days.”

SEPTEMBER: St Luke’s month of fasting and prayer

Father Jon and his staff team at St Luke’s South Melbourne are devoting the month of September to a special time of prayer and fasting.  They have reached out to Holy Trinity to ask if there is anything in particular we would like them to pray for.  This could be a very specific prayer such as prayer for an individual with particular needs, or prayers for situations that are happening throughout Australia and the world.  Please send any prayer requests to Father Noel and he will forward on to St Luke’s.
