NOTICES
TODAY IS REMEMBRANCE DAY – ARMISTICE DAY
It is 100 years since the signing of the Armistice Treaty that ended the disastrous First World War that changed the world. Today we pray for the peace of the world and we remember all those who gave their lives in this conflict, especially those who served Australia, those who died, those who were injured and all those who suffered through grief, pain and injury – particularly the families and friends of serving men and women. We pray for the members of the Australian Defence Forces serving all over the world. We give thanks for their service, duty and courage and pray that they will be kept safe in dangerous situations.
THE ANIMAL FARMYARD NURSERY AND FACE PAINTING
Alas, this popular event had to be abandoned because of the torrential rain on Melbourne Cup Day, disappointing hundreds of children and families. We plan to re schedule the event before the end of the year. Watch this space!
