HOW IS ABM TACKLING CLIMATE CHANGE?
Over the past two years, the Anglican Board of Mission (ABM) has responded to emergencies stemming from extreme weather events which all became disasters, exacerbated (if not caused) by climate change. This included Typhoon Mangkhut in the Philippines, Cyclone Gita in Tonga, Cyclone Donna in Vanuatu, and drought across East Africa. ABM supports partners as they provide disaster relief and build communities’ resilience. More information can be found on the ABM website: www.abmission.org
COMPLIANCE
All members of the parish who are in a leadership role are now required by law to comply with the Diocesan Volunteer Clearance for Service Police Check: ‘CrimCheck’, to retain their position. Some members in particular roles may also need a ‘Working with Children Check’ (WWC). Helen Barry is the parish Compliance Officer. Please contact Helen to make sure that your documentation is up to date.
