A MESSAGE FROM BISHOP PHILIP
“Thank you for our Christmas preparations and services. It was a real team effort, wasn’t it!? The carols sung by Kaemon, accompanied by his mum Ping as well as Maree and Dave, were a special delight.
Folk who worshipped with us expressed their gratitude, including those who appreciated the beauty of our Christmas Church when they came in to pray during the preceding days.
At the cricket, on Boxing Day another Bishop told me his experience in two other parishes paralleled ours. More folk at the earlier Children’s Service when the streets outside were busier…
Of those visiting, a number were single and either away from family or carrying the grief of bereavement into Christmas. The hospitality of our Church community meant they stayed on after worship. Perhaps next year it may be possible to offer a Christmas lunch to such folk after the morning service.
This Epiphany Sunday and next, I am grateful that Reverend Joseph is able to take our service while I help our Fiji family through a busy patch.
With gratitude and Epiphany blessings, +Philip.”
PHOTOS FROM THE 2022 COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL
The tenth Community Christmas Tree Festival at Holy Trinity Balaclava was once again a wonderful event. The following link will take you to some photos of the event. There was an amazing range of trees from the simple to the elaborate – perhaps 2023 could be the year for HTPM to contribute?!
The Monday Meditation Group will resume on Monday, February 6 @ 5.30 pm in the church.
