ANGLICAN BOARD OF MISSION (ABM) PEW REFLECTIONS – Sunday 26 June 2022

In his letter to the Galatians, St Paul lists the fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  He contrasts them with the ‘works of the flesh’ – which will lead us to lose our place as an inheritor of the kingdom of God.  By working to bring the fruits of the Spirit to the forefront in our lives, we bring ourselves closer to being numbered among the citizens of God’s kingdom.  If I were to examine myself, would I find areas in my life that I could work on to bring out more of the fruits of the Spirit?

  • Jesus Christ, Son of Man, help me to live a life marked by the fruits of your Spirit, so that I may ever come closer to you.
