ADVENT

Advent is a penitential season of 4 weeks preparation for the Festival of Christmas.  There are changes in the Liturgy – the Preparation and Confession are in the middle of the service, the Gloria is not said and the Third Order of the Consecration is used and the second option is used where provided.  There are no flowers in Advent and the liturgical colour is purple.

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING: Thursday 16 December

The first meeting of the new Parish Council will be held on THURSDAY 16 December @ 6pm in the church.

Preparations for the new retail facility on the green space in front of the vicarage are in full swing, and Prabhu expects to open in time for the Bay Street Market .  Canecoco will be selling sugar cane juice and coconut water.  Please support this new HTPM tenant!

 

BAY STREET TRADERS MARKET DAY:  Saturday 4 December 2021

This event is organised by the Port Melbourne Business Association and will involve traders along the length of Bay Street.

HTPM will have our own ‘Market Day’ involving a Sausage Sizzle, Op Shop, Plant Stall, and Cake Stall.

*** We will need people to help with the stalls and also contribute to the cake and plant stalls!  ***  🧁  🌺

THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST FUNDRAISING EVENT IN TWO YEARS!

 

THE VISIT OF THE ARCHBISHOP OF MELBOURNE:  19 December – Mark your diaries!

Archbishop Philip will make a pastoral visit to HTPM on Sunday 19 December @ 10am

 

CHRISTMAS CAROLS IN THE HTPM COURTYARD !  – Monday 20 December 2021 @ 7pm

The South Melbourne Community Choir will be singing Christmas Carols in the courtyard on 20 December @ 7pm.
